Terms of Service

True Value Protocol is an analytical tool that helps users evaluate sports trading cards and related collectibles. You upload information — photos of cards, comparable sales data, dealer asking prices, and similar context — and the Service produces an analytical read including an estimated value, a recommended buy/sell range, written reasoning, and a recommended course of action.

The Service is informational only. It is not financial advice, investment advice, appraisal, or any form of regulated professional opinion. Estimated values and recommended ranges are analytical outputs based on available data and methodology. They are not guarantees of market price, future performance, or transaction outcomes. You are solely responsible for your own purchase, sale, and trade decisions.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and notify us promptly of any unauthorized account access. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in conduct we determine to be harmful to the Service or other users.

The Service is offered during a free beta period to a limited number of Founder Cohort members. After the beta period ends, paid subscriptions are required to continue using the Service.

Founder Cohort members who maintain an uninterrupted subscription receive permanent 50% off pricing relative to standard subscription rates. Lapsed and resubscribed accounts revert to standard rates.

Pricing, features, and Founder Cohort terms may be updated. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers in advance.

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service except as expressly permitted.
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any person or entity.
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person.
• Upload content you do not own or have rights to share.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercialize the Service's analytical outputs without our written permission.

You retain ownership of content you upload to the Service ("User Content"), including card photos, comp screenshots, and any text you submit. By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and display that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

You represent that you have the rights to upload and share any User Content you submit. You are responsible for content you upload.

The Service, including its software, methodology, branding, design, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by True Value Protocol LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission.

The True Value Protocol methodology — including its rules, multiplier framework, and analytical approach — is proprietary. Public-facing portions of the methodology may be shared on tvpcards.io, in newsletters, on social media, or in other public formats. Operator-only portions remain confidential.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANALYTICAL OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR PROFITABLE.

CARD MARKETS ARE INHERENTLY VOLATILE. PAST PERFORMANCE DOES NOT INDICATE FUTURE RESULTS. NO ANALYTICAL TOOL CAN ELIMINATE THE RISK OF LOSS WHEN BUYING, SELLING, OR TRADING COLLECTIBLES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRUE VALUE PROTOCOL LLC, ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE EXCLUSIONS OR LIMITATIONS ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY, AND YOU MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless True Value Protocol LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via email to active accounts. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
